ZapVox is operated by the legal entity above, responsible for the contractual relationship, billing and support, and the controller of the personal data processed in the Service (Brazilian LGPD, art. 5, VI).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using the ZapVox extension ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not install or use the Service.
Current status: ZapVox is in public BETA. This means new features may be added, modified, or removed from time to time, and occasional instability may occur. By using the Service you acknowledge and accept that it is under continuous improvement.
Language: These Terms are published in Portuguese, English and Spanish. In case of any discrepancy between the versions, the Portuguese version (zapvoxia.com.br/termos) prevails.

2. Service Description
ZapVox is a browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge that allows you to transcribe, translate, summarize, and analyze audio messages on WhatsApp Web using artificial intelligence.
The Service offers:
Cloud transcription: Audio-to-text conversion using AI (Whisper) processed by ZapVox's cloud infrastructure. Audio is processed and immediately discarded — it is never stored on our servers.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) transcription: The ability to use your own API keys (Groq or OpenAI) for cloud transcription, without consuming the daily limits of ZapVox plans.
Translation and summarization (Pro): Translation and summarization of transcribed text using cloud services.
Sentiment analysis (Pro): Identification of the predominant emotional tone of a transcribed audio, displayed in an indicator separate from the transcription itself.
Auto-transcription: Automatic transcription of new received audio (requires explicit consent).
3. Plans, Pricing and Usage Limits
3.1 Free Plan
Up to 10 cloud transcriptions per day and up to 15 minutes of transcribed audio per day
BYOK (your own Groq or OpenAI key) available with no limit imposed by ZapVox
Transcription only (translation, summaries and sentiment analysis are Trial/Pro exclusive)
Watermark on copied or sent transcriptions
3.2 Trial (7 days)
Automatically activated on first login, no credit card required, no charge at the end
Up to 15 cloud operations per day (transcription, translation, summary and sentiment combined) and up to 30 minutes of transcribed audio per day
Access to all Pro features during the trial
Automatically reverts to Free plan after expiration, with no charge
3.3 Pro Plan (Monthly, Annual or Biennial)
Transcription, translation, summaries and sentiment analysis: up to 150 operations per day PER feature type (each type has its own counter) and up to 150 minutes of transcribed audio per day (fair use — see Section 3.4)
Removable watermark
Pricing: R$29.90/month, R$199.90/year or R$299.90/biennial (one-time payment, no auto-renewal on biennial). You are always charged in Brazilian reais (BRL), including when subscribing from outside Brazil. Where the plans page shows an approximate value in US dollars, it is for reference only, calculated from the exchange rate stated next to it; the final amount on your statement depends on the conversion applied by your payment method or card issuer, and may differ
Payment processed by Stripe
3.4 Usage limits and fair use
The daily limits described in Sections 3.1 to 3.3 apply to usage of ZapVox's cloud infrastructure and reset at midnight, Brasília time (America/Sao_Paulo time zone).
The fair-use policy exists to protect the quality, stability and sustainability of the Service for all users: cloud transcription has a real cost per minute of processed audio, and atypical consumption patterns would degrade the experience for other subscribers. Under normal individual use, you are unlikely to reach these limits.
Message scheduling: Free — up to 3 dispatches per day; paid plans — up to 20 per hour, 100 per day and 300 per week (technical anti-block safety caps, enforced server-side and not user-disableable; see Section 8.1). These numbers are the objective definition of scheduling 'fair use'.
When a daily limit is reached, the corresponding feature becomes unavailable until the counter resets (midnight, Brasília time) — nothing extra is ever charged;
Operations performed with your own key (BYOK) do not consume the limits above (see Section 6);
Limits are not cumulative: unused daily quota does not carry over to the next day.
Changes to limits: if we ever need to reduce the limits of any plan, we will communicate the change with reasonable advance notice (via notice in the extension, on zapvoxia.com.br and/or by e-mail) before it takes effect. Limit increases or improvements may be applied immediately. For already-paid subscriptions, any relevant limit reduction entitles you to cancel with a proportional refund of the unused period.
Transparency: with BYOK (your own Groq/OpenAI key), ZapVox imposes no usage limit — only your API provider's conditions and costs apply. The limits in this section apply only to operations processed by ZapVox's cloud infrastructure.
4. Account and Authentication
Some features require login (Google, Microsoft or e-mail) for authentication. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and maintain the security of your credentials.
ZapVox uses OAuth authentication (Google/Microsoft) or e-mail code, managed by Supabase Auth. We do not have access to your password.
Individual, non-transferable account: your ZapVox account is personal, individual and non-transferable. It is intended for use by a single person. Sharing access credentials, assigning, renting or reselling account access to third parties is prohibited. Account sharing or simultaneous use by multiple people violates these Terms and may lead to suspension or termination of the account, as per Section 12 — whenever possible, with prior notice so you can remedy the situation.
4.1. One active browser per account
In short: you may install the extension on as many computers as you like (at no cost), but active use is on ONE computer at a time: activating the account on one computer automatically disconnects ("drops") the previous access. Simultaneous use on more than one computer is not allowed under the standard license and requires the "Additional computer" add-on (one additional slot per simultaneous browser).
To ensure the individual nature of the account and prevent credential sharing, ZapVox maintains only one active browser per account at a time. This verification is performed on our servers and applies to all account-based features subject to usage limits (transcription, translation, summarization and message scheduling, among others).
When you sign in to your account on a new browser or device, that one becomes the active browser, and the others are automatically deactivated.
The deactivated browser displays a clear on-screen notice, with the option to resume use immediately via the "Use here" button, without signing in again. You may switch between your own devices as often as you wish.
No local data is deleted on deactivated browsers: your scheduled messages, reminders and settings remain saved and are merely paused until you reactivate that browser.
Simultaneous use of the same account across more than one browser, device or by more than one person — including in corporate environments, by teams or by multiple employees — is not permitted and violates these Terms, subjecting the account to the measures in Section 12.
In short: it's one account per active browser. Switching between browsers and devices is allowed (as often as you like); what is not allowed is keeping them active at the same time on the same account. This limitation exists to prevent fraud and abuse through shared accounts.
Device detection and blocking for abuse: to enforce the rules above, ZapVox detects and records, in association with your account, the browsers and devices that connect to the Service (by means of a random identifier and a generic label such as "Chrome · Windows", as described in the Privacy Policy). If abusive use is found — including, but not limited to, credential sharing, simultaneous use across multiple devices or by multiple people, corporate/team use on an individual account, irregular automation or attempts to circumvent fair-use limits — ZapVox may, at any time and at its sole discretion, limit, suspend or block the account, in whole or in part, with or without prior notice, without prejudice to the other measures in Section 12.
Each person using the Service must have their own account. Companies interested in use by multiple employees must purchase one account per user or get in touch through the channel in Section 14.
If you need to keep more than one browser active at the same time on the same account, we offer the "Additional computer" add-on for R$9.90 per month per additional active browser (you choose the quantity). Each unit unlocks one more simultaneous active browser. This add-on does not change the daily usage quota, which remains account-wide and shared across all browsers and people, as described in Section 4.2. To subscribe, visit zapvoxia.com.br/enterprise or email [email protected].
4.2. Usage quota: account-wide, shared, and how to increase it
Daily usage limits for cloud features (transcription, translation, summarization and other rate-limited features) are tied to the account and shared across all browsers, devices and people using it — they are not per device.
Each Pro subscription grants the account up to 150 transcriptions per day and up to 150 minutes of audio per day (fair use), per feature type. The Free plan grants 10 transcriptions per day and up to 15 minutes of audio per day. Current values and any changes are shown on the pricing page and in Section 3.
BYOK (your own key): operations run with your own API key (Groq/OpenAI) do not consume the account quota and have no limit imposed by ZapVox, subject only to your chosen provider's terms and quotas (Section 6).
Extra quota (add-on): you can increase the account quota with the "Extra quota" add-on, for R$29.90 per month per unit (the price of one subscription). Each unit adds +150 transcriptions per day and +150 minutes of audio per day to the account, pooled and shared across all account users. You may add as many units as you need.
Usage that exceeds the contracted quota is blocked until the day resets (midnight, Brasília time) or until additional quota is purchased. Attempts to bypass, split or defraud the limits constitute a breach of these Terms (Sections 5 and 12).
The "Additional computer" and "Extra quota" add-ons are billed on a recurring monthly basis, may be canceled at any time (taking effect in the next cycle) and follow the refund policy in Section 10 (in particular Section 10.1). Purchase and provisioning are automatic upon payment confirmation.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use ZapVox responsibly and legally. It is prohibited to:
Use the Service to transcribe audio without the knowledge or consent of conversation participants when required by law
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or any part of it
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to bypass usage limits, authentication systems, or protection mechanisms
Share or transfer your account or BYOK keys with third parties
Use your account simultaneously on more than one browser or device, or by more than one person, contrary to Section 4.1
Use message scheduling for bulk sending, spam, unsolicited marketing, chain messages, sales automation at scale, or any practice prohibited by WhatsApp/Meta's terms and policies
Send messages to recipients who have not consented to receive them, where such consent is required by applicable law
Circumvent, disable, tamper with or defraud the Service's sending safety limits (minimum interval between sends, timing variation, and hourly, daily and weekly caps)
Use the Service in a manner inconsistent with WhatsApp/Meta's Terms of Service and policies
6. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)
The Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) feature allows you to use your own API keys for Groq or OpenAI services. When using this functionality:
BYOK scope: your own key applies exclusively to the AI features — transcription, translation, summarization and sentiment analysis. It does not change plan-bound features: message scheduling (and its limits), reminders, custom glossary, transcript search, export, whole-chat summary and watermark remain governed by your subscribed plan (Free/Pro), as per Sections 3 and 4.
BYOK operations use YOUR key and YOUR provider account — ZapVox imposes no usage limit on them (they do not consume the daily limits in Section 3)
Usage drawn from your own quota: all BYOK processing is debited from the quota/credits of your own key with the chosen provider. Groq offers a free tier with limits it defines; OpenAI charges per use. Any amounts are paid by you directly to the provider — ZapVox charges nothing extra for BYOK operations and does not intermediate those payments.
You are responsible for your API keys and for the costs charged by the provider (Groq offers a free tier; OpenAI charges per use)
Your keys are encrypted locally (AES-GCM 256-bit) and never transmitted to our servers
ZapVox is not responsible for costs, charges, price changes, limits, unavailability or discontinuation of the API providers' services (Groq, OpenAI), which are governed exclusively by their terms
You must comply with the Terms of Service and technical limits of the respective providers (Groq, OpenAI)
When your key takes over, per plan:
Free: if you have a key configured and the mode is set to Automatic, your key is used first — the Free plan does not include a cloud quota for translation, summarization, topics and sentiment.
Pro (and Trial, Annual, Biannual): the cloud quota you already paid for is used first. Upon reaching 90% of that feature's daily limit, ZapVox automatically switches to your key, still within the quota. The switch happens before the quota runs out, so your work is not interrupted midway.
With no key configured: nothing changes. The cloud is used up to the plan's daily limit and stops there — the limit is not exceeded under any circumstance.
From the migration onward, operations are debited from your own key's quota with the provider, as described above.
7. Intellectual Property
ZapVox, including its source code, design, icons, and documentation, is owned by Diegomaier Nunes Neri and is protected by copyright law.
The transcriptions, translations, and summaries generated from YOUR audio content remain your property. ZapVox does not claim rights to the content you process through the Service.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
Transcriptions will be 100% accurate (quality depends on audio clarity, language, and model used)
The Service will be available uninterrupted or error-free
The Service will be compatible with future updates to WhatsApp Web or Chrome
That WhatsApp/Meta will not apply limitations, suspensions or blocks to your account as a result of your use — a decision that is exclusively Meta's and outside our control (Section 8.1)
Important Notice: Transcription accuracy varies based on audio quality, accents, background noise, and language. Do not use ZapVox transcriptions as the sole reference for critical decisions without manual verification.
8.1. Message scheduling and risk of being blocked by WhatsApp
ZapVox is an independent product, with no affiliation, sponsorship, partnership or endorsement whatsoever from WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. Your relationship with WhatsApp is governed exclusively by Meta's own terms and policies, compliance with which is your sole and entire responsibility.
The message scheduling feature was designed with user safety as a priority: it operates through WhatsApp's own official chat mechanism (click to chat), is intended for individual, one-off sending, performs no bulk sending, and applies, by default and non-disableable, technical safety limits — a minimum interval between sends, randomized timing variation, and hourly, daily and weekly caps. These measures reduce the risk but do not eliminate it, and constitute no promise, warranty or assurance of any outcome.
Responsibility for use and risk of blocking: the decision to limit, suspend, block or ban a WhatsApp account is an act exclusive to Meta Platforms, Inc., made according to its own unilateral and undisclosed criteria, lying entirely outside ZapVox's control and sphere of action. You are solely and exclusively responsible for the content, recipients, frequency, volume and lawfulness of the messages you schedule or send through the Service, as well as for obtaining recipients' consent where required by applicable law — including Brazil's Law No. 13,709/2018 (LGPD) — and for complying with WhatsApp/Meta's terms and policies. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and except for liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited, ZapVox and its developer shall not be liable for limitations, suspensions, blocks or bans applied by a third party (WhatsApp/Meta) to your account by reason of the manner, volume, content or purpose of your use of the Service. By enabling message scheduling, you declare that you are aware of and agree to this risk and knowingly and informedly assume it.
8.2. Dependence on third-party platforms and possible discontinuation
ZapVox operates on top of WhatsApp Web and the Chrome browser/store (and equivalents) — third-party platforms that may be changed, updated, restricted, suspended or discontinued at any time, unilaterally and without prior notice, by their respective controllers (Meta Platforms, Inc. and Google LLC), in situations entirely outside ZapVox's control. Such changes may, temporarily or permanently, impair, limit or prevent the Service from working.
When third-party changes break functionality, the ZapVox team will use commercially reasonable efforts to restore compatibility as soon as possible. However, ZapVox does not guarantee, warrant or promise that it will be able to fix, adapt or restore the Service in the face of any third-party change, since this depends on decisions, systems and timelines beyond its control. Unavailability arising from such changes does not constitute default by ZapVox — except for liability that the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078/1990) does not allow to be excluded or reduced — and its effects on charges are governed by Section 10.2.
8.3. Features affected by third-party updates — suspension and economic effects
By subscribing to or using the Service, you declare that you are aware of and agree to the following regime, which applies exclusively to unavailability caused by third-party changes (WhatsApp/Meta, Chrome/Chromium, extension stores and equivalents):
(a) Suspension of features without prior notice: if a third-party update or change alters or prevents the operation of one or more features of the Service, such features may become unavailable and/or be temporarily or permanently disabled by ZapVox, including without prior notice, as this is a circumstance beyond its control. Whenever possible, we will communicate the situation through the official channels.
(b) No partial refund for ancillary features: as long as the Service's core feature — audio transcription — remains operational, the unavailability or disabling of ancillary features in the circumstances of this Section does not constitute default and does not, by itself, give rise to any right to a partial refund, proportional price reduction or compensation, except in the cases that consumer-protection law does not allow to be waived. These measures create no additional burden for either party.
(c) Core feature — restoration period and no-cost termination: if the core feature (audio transcription) is rendered inoperable by third-party changes and it cannot be restored within 30 (thirty) calendar days from the start of the unavailability, ZapVox may automatically terminate all accounts and subscriptions, upon at least 7 (seven) days' prior notice through the official channels (website, extension and/or registered e-mail), with the immediate cancellation of all future charges — with no fine, penalty or compensation for either party, as this is an event beyond ZapVox's control. The effects on amounts already paid are governed by Section 10.2.
(d) Distinction: this regime applies only to unavailability caused by third parties. Feature reductions resulting from ZapVox's own decision remain governed by the safeguards of Section 3.4 (advance notice and the right to cancel with a proportional refund).
8.4. Probabilistic nature of artificial intelligence and duty to verify
The Service operates through third-party artificial intelligence models (such as Groq, OpenAI and Google), which are not developed, trained, controlled or owned by ZapVox. ZapVox acts as a technological intermediary: it forwards the audio or text to the provider and displays the result returned by it.
AI models are, by nature, probabilistic: they may err, omit, invert, fabricate or misinterpret words, names, numbers, amounts, dates, technical terms and the meaning of passages — including in a seemingly coherent and plausible way. Output quality varies with audio, accent, noise, overlapping speech, jargon and language. Therefore:
Transcriptions, translations, summaries and sentiment analyses are reading aids, of a merely auxiliary and informational nature — they are not a document, report, evidence, certificate, forensic transcript, minutes, or professional advice (legal, medical, accounting or of any nature), and do not replace the original audio;
The original audio remains the only reliable source. It is the user's exclusive burden to check the output against the audio and correct it before any use, especially in sensitive contexts or where consequences are material;
The user is fully and exclusively responsible for decisions made, acts performed and documents produced based on the generated content, as well as for its review, storage, use and any sharing;
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZapVox and its developer are not liable for errors, inaccuracies, omissions, hallucinations, misinterpretations or misreadings produced by the AI models, nor for any losses, lost opportunities, direct or indirect damages arising therefrom — except for those heads of liability that the law — in particular the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078/1990) — does not allow to be excluded or limited;
We are likewise not liable for changes in quality, availability, policies, model versions or pricing of the AI providers, including in BYOK mode (Section 6).
In short: AI is a support tool and can make mistakes. Always review the generated content before using it. By using the Service, you acknowledge this characteristic and accept this duty to verify.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZapVox and its developer shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to:
Loss of data or transcriptions
Errors or inaccuracies in transcriptions, translations, or summaries
Service interruptions caused by WhatsApp Web or Chrome updates
Costs incurred from using BYOK keys with third-party APIs
Limitations, suspensions, blocks or bans applied to your WhatsApp account by Meta/WhatsApp by reason of your use of the Service, as set out in Section 8.1
Temporary unavailability of features on browsers deactivated due to the one-active-browser-per-account limit, as set out in Section 4.1
Liability cap: to the maximum extent permitted by law, the total and aggregate liability of ZapVox and its developer, for any and all damages related to the Service, is limited to the amount actually paid by you to ZapVox in the 12 (twelve) months preceding the event that gave rise to the liability (or, for users exclusively on the free plan, R$ 50.00).
The limitations in this Section apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and do not exclude liability that Brazilian law — in particular the Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078/1990) — does not allow to be excluded or limited.
10. Payments, Cancellation and Refunds
Pro plan payments are processed by Stripe. ZapVox does not store credit card data.
Monthly and Annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each cycle; the Biennial plan is a one-time payment with no auto-renewal
Self-service cancellation: you can cancel at any time, on your own, via the dashboard at zapvoxia.com.br/dashboard, the extension popup or the Stripe billing portal — no penalty, no lock-in
10.1 Right of Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Right of Withdrawal (Brazilian Consumer Code, Art. 49): as this is an online purchase, you may withdraw from it within 7 (seven) calendar days of the purchase, with a full refund of any amount paid, no justification needed. This right is guaranteed by Brazilian consumer protection law.
In addition to the right of withdrawal, we practice the following refund policy, the same for every plan (Monthly, Annual and Biennial):
Canceling stops future charges. You keep Pro access until the end of the period already paid; after that, the account returns to Free. Canceling by itself does not refund money.
Refund: we return the full amount of your last charge if requested within 14 (fourteen) calendar days of that charge. After that window, there is no refund of amounts already paid — cancellation remains available (it stops future charges).
Once per account. The full refund above is granted once per account. Later requests from the same account do not generate a new full refund — cancellation remains available, stopping future charges and keeping Pro access until the end of the period already paid.
The right of withdrawal is not affected. The 7 (seven) calendar day period under art. 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code remains intact and prevails whenever it is more favorable to you, including for an account that has already used the full refund above. This right cannot be waived and is not conditioned on any earlier refund request.
Charges made before this version. Charges made up to August 14, 2026 keep the 30 (thirty) calendar day window that applied when they were made. The 14 (fourteen) day window applies to charges made after that date.
A refund covers only the last charge within the window. Earlier charges for periods already used are not refunded, as the Service was effectively provided.
Trial: the 7-day trial is free, requires no card and generates no charge — so there is nothing to refund.
Whichever condition is most favorable to you — the right of withdrawal or the policy above — always prevails. Refunds are processed by Stripe and credited to the original payment method, usually within 5-10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
10.2 Discontinuation by third-party decision (WhatsApp/Chrome) and effects on charges
If the Service (or any paid feature, including the "Additional computer" and "Extra quota" add-ons) is canceled, removed, suspended or banned due to a decision, policy change or update by third parties — in particular the Chrome Web Store, Chrome browser policies or WhatsApp/Meta — in a way that prevents it from working:
future charges are stopped immediately; no new recurring charge will be made;
there is no refund of amounts for periods already used, since the Service was effectively provided and used until then;
if any charge occurs after the discontinuation event (for example, due to operational delay in stopping billing), the amount corresponding to the unused period will be fully refunded, at no cost to the user. Example: if a third party discontinues the Service on a date and billing is only stopped a few days later, a charge made in that interval will be refunded.
This clause complies with the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078/1990) and the principle prohibiting unjust enrichment, always applying the condition most favorable to the consumer.
10.3 Voluntary discontinuation by ZapVox
Regardless of the scenarios in Section 10.2 (discontinuation by third-party decision), ZapVox reserves the right to discontinue the Service on its own decision, at any time, in whole or in part. In that case — and unlike the third-party scenario — we undertake the following guarantees:
Prior notice of at least 30 (thirty) days, communicated through the official channels (website, extension and/or the e-mail registered to the account);
Immediate stop of future charges — no new recurring charge will be made as from the notice;
Proportional refund of any amount already paid and not yet used (for example, in the annual or biennial plans, the remaining months);
No fine, penalty or burden for either party, and no additional indemnity due.
During the prior notice period, the Service remains available under the contracted conditions, and you may cancel your subscription at any time, with the same effects described above. In that scenario, we recommend that you export your transcriptions in advance and consider the BYOK mode (Section 6), where applicable.
11. Modifications to the Terms and the Service
11.1 Evolution of the Service. ZapVox is a continuously evolving service. We may, at any time, change, add, improve, suspend or discontinue features, plans, limits and characteristics of the Service, in whole or in part. For free features, these changes may occur at any time and without prior notice. For paid plans, material reductions in limits or features follow the guarantees of Section 3.4 (communication with reasonable advance notice and the right to cancel with a prorated refund), and full discontinuation is governed by Sections 8.2, 8.3, 10.2 and 10.3.
11.2 Updates to these Terms. We may update these Terms periodically. The current version is always published at zapvoxia.com.br/terms, with the date of the last update at the top. Significant changes will be communicated through our official channels — notice in the extension, on the website and/or to the e-mail registered to the account. Continued use of the Service after publication constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11.3 User's duty to stay informed. We recommend that you review this page periodically. It is your responsibility to keep your account e-mail up to date and able to receive our communications — notices sent to the registered e-mail and/or published through the official channels are deemed valid for all purposes. If you do not agree with a change, you may cancel your subscription as per Section 10, without prejudice to the period already paid.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service in case of violation of these Terms — including account sharing (Section 4), attempts to bypass usage limits, or fraudulent/abusive use of the Service. Whenever reasonably possible, you will be notified in advance and given the opportunity to remedy the situation before any definitive suspension.
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and, if you are a subscriber, cancelling as per Section 10. Suspension or termination does not affect the refund rights in Section 10.1 or your consumer rights.
Without prejudice to the measures above, the user is liable for damages and costs demonstrably caused to ZapVox by use of the Service in violation of these Terms (including fraud, shared-account abuse and circumvention of limits), to the extent of their fault and under applicable law.
Upon termination, the sections on Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law remain in effect.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, including the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078/1990) for consumer relationships.
For consumer relationships in Brazil, you are entitled to bring any claim in the courts of your own domicile (CDC, art. 101, I). We will always seek to resolve any issue amicably through [email protected] before any formal measure.
These Terms are interpreted and enforced under Brazilian law, wherever you use the Service from.
14. Privacy
The use of ZapVox is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
16. Glossary — definitions of the terms used in this document
To avoid conflicting interpretations, the terms below have, in this agreement, exactly the meaning described here:
Operation: each individual request processed by ZapVox — one transcription, one translation, one summary, or one sentiment analysis. A single audio message may generate more than one operation if you request more than one action on it.
Daily quota: the maximum number of operations your account may consume in a day, according to your plan. The quota belongs to the account, not to the computer: it is shared across every device where you use ZapVox.
Active device: each browser/computer with your account signed in at the same time. The number of allowed active devices depends on your plan and on any add-ons purchased.
BYOK (Bring Your Own Key): the mode in which you register your own API key (Groq, OpenAI, or equivalent). In this mode the audio goes from your browser directly to your key's provider, the cost is billed to you by that provider, and the usage does not consume your ZapVox quota.
Free, Trial and Pro plans: the access tiers described in Section 3, each with its own quota, features, and duration.
Extension: the program you install in your browser (Chrome, Edge, or compatible) that runs on top of WhatsApp Web.
Third-party platform: services we do not operate and on which ZapVox depends in order to work — in particular WhatsApp Web, the browser extension store, and the artificial intelligence providers.
Where this document and any promotional material differ as to the meaning of one of these terms, the definition in this section prevails.
17. Minimum requirements and performance
ZapVox is a browser extension: its performance depends directly on your equipment and your connection. For proper use, we recommend:
Browser: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, version 116 or later, kept up to date.
Operating system: Windows 10 or later, macOS 11 or later, or a Linux distribution compatible with Chrome.
Memory: 4 GB of RAM minimum; 8 GB recommended, especially with many tabs open.
Connection: a stable internet connection. Cloud transcription requires sending and receiving data; dropped connections interrupt processing.
Session: WhatsApp Web signed in and the tab loaded. ZapVox does not access WhatsApp outside your browser.
We are not responsible for failures caused by equipment below these requirements, an outdated browser, connection instability, or the user's own system settings. If you meet the requirements and it still fails, that is on us — write to [email protected] and we will investigate.
18. Coexistence with other extensions
WhatsApp Web was not designed to host extensions. When two or more extensions modify the same screen at the same time, they may conflict — buttons stop appearing, audio fails to load, transcription does not complete.
We cannot test ZapVox against every existing extension, nor control what they do to the page. For that reason, we are not liable for malfunctions caused by incompatibility with other extensions installed in your browser.
If something stops working, the quickest test is to temporarily disable the other extensions that act on WhatsApp Web and reload the page. If the problem disappears, it was a conflict; if it persists, we want to know — [email protected].
19. Uninstalling the extension does not cancel your subscription
These are two different actions, and it matters that this is clear:
Removing the extension from your browser stops usage on that computer — but it does not end the subscription or the charges.
Once cancelled, access remains active until the end of the period already paid for, with no further charges. Refund conditions remain those of Section 10.
If you uninstalled, forgot to cancel, and were charged, write to us: we will sort it out without argument.
20. Minimum age
ZapVox runs on top of WhatsApp Web and follows the same age requirement as that platform: you must be 13 years old or older to use the service, and any higher minimum age required by the laws of your country prevails over this one.
Users under 18 must use the service with the supervision and consent of a legal guardian, and only the guardian may purchase paid plans. If we identify an account in breach of this section, it may be terminated.
21. Support
The official support channel is the e-mail address [email protected], complemented by the Help Center and the assistant available on the website.
Our commitment is to reply within 2 business days. Failures that completely prevent use of the service take priority over questions and suggestions.
ZapVox is maintained by an individual developer, and we state that transparently: support is personal and direct, but there is no 24-hour helpdesk. Whenever a problem depends on third parties (WhatsApp, the browser, an AI provider), we will say clearly what is and is not within our control.
22. Price adjustments
Plan prices may be adjusted over time. So that this is predictable, we commit to the following rules:
A cycle you already paid for never changes. The price you contracted holds until the end of the period you have paid. No adjustment is ever applied retroactively.
30 days' notice. We notify you by email, at your account address, at least 30 days before the renewal on which the new price takes effect.
Stated reason. The notice states the new price, the date it takes effect and the reason for the adjustment — for example changes in the cost of AI providers, inflation over the period, or new features added to the plan.
Frequency. We do not adjust the same plan more than once every 12 months.
You can leave at no cost. If you disagree, simply cancel before the effective date of the new price — no penalty, no extra charge. You cancel it yourself, in the subscription portal.
Silence is not blanket consent. If you do not cancel by the stated date, renewal proceeds at the new price — which will already have been communicated to you in writing and in advance, as described in this section.
Temporary promotions and discounts follow their own rule: the discount applies only for the period stated in the offer and, once that period ends, the plan returns to the full price that was shown to you on the payment screen at the time of purchase — not to whatever list price happens to be in force at that future moment. The mere end of a discount is not a price adjustment; any amount above the one shown at purchase is a price adjustment and is subject to the rules of this Section.
23. Promotions, coupons and discounts
We may run time-limited promotions and discount coupons. The rules in this Section apply to every promotion. Where the specific offer sets out terms that are more favourable to you, the offer prevails — this Section only fills in what the offer does not address.
Where it applies, and how much. The scope and the cap of a discount depend on the plan type:
Monthly plan (recurring): the promotional discount applies only to the first charge — the first month. From the second charge onward, the full price applies.
Longer-period plans (Annual and Biennial): the promotional discount is capped at 20% of the plan price. Larger discounts do not apply to these plans. This cap applies to promotional coupons and is not to be confused with the built-in saving of the Annual and Biennial plans versus Monthly, shown on the pricing page — that saving is already in the price and is not a coupon.
What happens next. From the second charge onward, the subscription renews at the plan's full price as shown to you on the payment screen at the time of purchase — today, R$29.90/month on the Monthly plan. That is the price that applies to you: the end of the discount merely restores it, it does not change it. Any amount above that is a price adjustment and may only occur with the 30 days' notice and the other safeguards in Section 22.
A coupon is one thing; the longer plan's price is another. A promotional discount exists only for someone holding a valid coupon who applies it at payment. The price difference between Monthly and the Annual and Biennial plans is not a coupon: it is the plan's own price, applied automatically to anyone who chooses to pay for a longer period, with no code needed.
You see both amounts before paying. The Stripe payment screen shows the total due today (with the discount applied) and the amount of the next renewal before you confirm.
Changing plans during a promotion. If you switch plans during the promotional period — for example, from Monthly to Annual — the discount does not carry over to the new plan: the price of the chosen plan applies, subject to that plan's own discount cap.
Who can use it. Promotions are intended for people who have never made a paid purchase on ZapVox — no subscription and no add-on. Accounts that have paid for anything before, even if since cancelled, are not eligible unless the offer says otherwise.
One per person, no stacking. One coupon per account; coupons cannot be combined with each other or with other promotions.
A deadline is a deadline. Where the offer states an expiry date and time, that deadline is firm: once past, the coupon stops working and there is no individual extension. Where the offer states no deadline, the coupon works while the promotion is running — and it may be ended at any time, as stated below.
We may end a promotion at any time, without prior notice. This does not affect anyone who has already redeemed it: whoever subscribed while it was running keeps in full the terms they contracted — that is, the discount exactly to the extent and for the number of charges stated in the offer (in a first-charge promotion, the first charge only). Keeping the contracted terms does not extend the discount to subsequent charges.
Cancellation and refunds. You may cancel at any time, with no penalty. If a purchase made with a coupon is refunded, we return the amount actually paid — not the list price. Deadlines and conditions are those of our Refund Policy, and the 7-day right of withdrawal (Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, art. 49) remains fully intact.
Withdrawal does not burn your coupon. If you exercise the 7-day right of withdrawal (Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, art. 49), the contract is undone for all purposes: your account remains eligible for the promotion while it is running. The same applies to a full refund requested under Section 10.1. Because the payment processor still counts the undone purchase as a transaction already made, the same code may be refused on a second attempt; if that happens, write to [email protected] and we will issue an equivalent coupon on the same terms as the offer, once per account. Re-issuing is a courtesy on our part to work around a technical limitation of the payment processor, not a fresh entitlement on every withdrawal: from the second time onwards, the subscription remains available at the plan's full price. Your right of withdrawal under art. 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Code stays intact, with no cap on how many times you may exercise it — what is limited is re-issuing the promo code, not refunding your money.
Not transferable. Coupons are personal and non-transferable, hold no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
24. Billing cycle and renewal date
Your subscription renews on the same day of the month on which it was purchased. Example: subscribing to the monthly plan on the 5th means renewals occur on the 5th of every month; on the annual plan, on the 5th of the same month the following year.
25. Advanced sending method (optional, off by default)
ZapVox offers an optional feature called Advanced method, which ships turned off and is only enabled by a deliberate action on your part in the extension settings.
26. Sending limits and queue (scheduling)
ZapVox scheduling is built for personal and customer-service use — not for mass messaging. To protect your account, the following limits apply and cannot be disabled:
27. Attachments stay on your computer
Files you attach to a scheduled message are stored in your own browser (IndexedDB), not on ZapVox servers. This has practical consequences you should know before relying on the feature:
Switched computers? The scheduled message shows up on the other machine (it syncs), but the file does not — it stayed on the machine where you attached it. The send has to happen on the computer holding the file.
Uninstalled the extension, cleared browser data or used a different Chrome profile? Attached files are lost, and any scheduled messages depending on them will have nothing to send.
After sending, the file is deleted automatically from your browser. It does its job and leaves — no space wasted.
There is an overall storage cap for attachments. When it's reached, the oldest ones are removed to make room.
We recommend keeping your own copy of the original file until the scheduled message has been sent.
One file per scheduled message. To send several, create several scheduled messages.
A minimum gap between one send and the next, with random variation — never the same interval twice.
Caps per hour, per day and per week.
A few minutes of variation around the scheduled time.
Several messages scheduled for the same time form a queue and are sent one by one, respecting the gaps above. Nothing is discarded: anything over the quota is postponed and goes out when the quota frees up.
You are solely responsible for the content, frequency and legitimacy of the messages you schedule, and for the consent of those who receive them. Sending unsolicited, bulk or spam messages violates WhatsApp's Terms and may result in your account being blocked or banned by Meta — a risk that is entirely yours.
When enabled, it is used only as a last resort: if every attempt to send through the WhatsApp interface fails, ZapVox falls back to an internal WhatsApp Web function to complete the delivery.
What you need to know before turning it on:
This method is not illegal — no law prohibits it. However, it falls outside WhatsApp's Terms of Service.
The possible consequence of violating WhatsApp's Terms is your account being blocked or banned by Meta.
By enabling the feature, you fully assume that risk. ZapVox is not liable for any blocking, suspension, ban or loss arising from the use of this optional feature, nor for any loss of data, contacts or history associated with the affected account.
The feature can be turned off at any time, with immediate effect.
With the feature off (the default), ZapVox sends exclusively through the WhatsApp Web interface, the same way you would do it manually.
When a month does not contain the corresponding day (for example, a purchase on the 31st), the charge occurs on the last day of that month.
Renewal is automatic while the subscription is active, and you may cancel at any time before the next renewal date, as described in Section 19.
28. In-app notices and news (popups)
From time to time (at most about once every 15 days), ZapVox may show a short notice inside the extension highlighting a feature you haven't used yet — for example audio summaries, translation, search inside audios or scheduling. The goal is to help you get the most out of what is already included in your plan, not to bother you.
They are informational and dismissible: one click closes the notice, and there is a button to learn how to enable the feature (opens a tutorial on our website).
You can turn them off: in Settings → What's new in the extension, you can disable these notices at any time, effective immediately.
No extra data: to decide which feature to suggest (and to avoid repeating one you already use), ZapVox looks only at which features you have already used — a signal that already exists in your account. No additional information is collected because of the notices, and the content of your messages or audios is never used for this.
Frequency-limited: we do not repeat the same notice and we keep a minimum interval between them, so it never becomes spam.
29. AI providers and transcription routing
To ensure stability and continuity, cloud transcription may be processed by different AI providers, always in the same order, moving to the next one only when the previous one fails: Groq → Google Gemini → Cloudflare (Workers AI) → OpenAI. The first three cost you nothing; OpenAI is used only as a last resort, if all the others fail. In all cases the audio is processed to produce the text and is not stored by us. In BYOK mode, the audio goes straight from your browser to your own key's provider (Groq or OpenAI), without passing through us.
Updated on 16/08/2026: Cloudflare (Workers AI) is now named here — it was already part of the cascade and receives audio when the previous providers fail. And the day-of-the-week rotation was removed from the product on 15/08/2026; the order above is fixed, every day, for every plan.
30. Referral Program
ZapVox runs a referral program — rules and rewards on the Referrals page. This section states what applies contractually. Where the program page offers a condition that is more favourable to you, that condition prevails; this section only fills in what the page does not say.
When a referral counts. A referral is confirmed when the invited person installs ZapVox, signs in for the first time and uses the extension. Installing without signing in, or signing in without using it, does not count.
The rewards. 3 confirmed referrals = 7 Pro days; 10 = 30 Pro days; 25 = Pro access with no recurring charge and no renewal, for an indefinite term (see the two items below). Tiers are cumulative. Anyone who joins through your link receives 7 extra trial days.
What the 25-tier access is, and how long it lasts. It is access to the Pro plan with no recurring charge and no renewal, granted as a gratuity and for an indefinite term. We deliberately do not use the words "lifetime" or "forever": that would promise a term that does not depend on us alone — ZapVox runs on top of WhatsApp Web, the extension stores and AI providers, none of which we operate.
We may end this access, with 90 days' notice. Being a free benefit for an indefinite term, it may be revoked on 90 days' prior notice, sent to the account email and published on the program page. During those 90 days the access is unchanged. After the period, the account returns to the Free plan — and, to stay on Pro, subscribes at the current price. Since nothing was paid for this access, there is no amount to refund; Pro days already credited from referrals remain valid until they run out.
If the service is discontinued, Section 15 (Discontinuation) applies, equally for everyone — including paying subscribers.
What the reward is. Access to the Pro plan under its current conditions, with the Pro daily limits and subject to the same fair-use rules of Section 8. It is not credit, has no monetary value, is not convertible into cash and is not transferable.
If you already subscribe to Pro. Days earned are added to your current cycle as credit on the next renewal. On reaching 25 confirmed referrals, the paid subscription is cancelled at no cost and access becomes the one described in this section.
Self-referral and fraud. Accounts created by the same person, disposable accounts, automated sign-ups and any manoeuvre to inflate the count are not valid referrals. In those cases we may void the referrals, withdraw the rewards granted through them and, under Section 13, suspend the account.
We may end the program at any time, with notice on the page itself. This does not withdraw a reward already granted: anyone who has already reached a tier keeps what they received, under the conditions of this section.
We may adjust tiers and rewards for future referrals, with the change published on the page before it takes effect. Counts already accumulated and rewards already granted are not reduced retroactively.
